Education

Education represents one of the pillars of Supernatural movement. We believe that only through practical education environmental awareness will be achieved. Everything we do has education as its goal.
Over the years we   have organized numerous lectures, seminars, debates and workshops with world and domestic experts on topics such as biodiversity, green architecture, waste management, clean energy, organic agriculture etc.
We hosted itnernational and domestic experts on varoius topics.
Green architecture with  Edouard Francois. A world protagonist of green building was a guest at University of architecture as a part of supernatural pavilion competition.  His work focuses on matter, context, use, economy and ecology, following the preoccupations of sustainable development. Francois’ European team of architects and urbanists are working also on landscape design and graphic design projects. The office is based in paris. Francois became known to the public in 2000 with ‘the building that grows’, built in montpellier on the banks of the léz and widely publicised by the ministry of culture’s campaign on quality in architecture,followed by the ‘flower tower’ in paris.
Health and environment Ian with  Illuminato,campaigner at Friends of the Earth. His work focuses on protecting people and the environment from threats posed by nanotechnology. He has worked for Greenpeace Italy, Greenpeace International, and the United Nations Environmental Program in Italy and has extensive experience monitoring the impact of technological change on the environment. At Greenpeace he helped lead an international movement against genetically engineered crops in Europe and the Middle East. He persuaded Europe’s largest rice company to stop importing American rice to keep its stock GM-free. He also works closely with the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics to remove toxins from beauty products.  Ian illuminato lectured in green classroom organized by Supernatural

Slow Food movement with Biagio Carrano. Lectures on food culture and biodiversity protection in ther food chain. These lectures had the aim to educate the audience on philosophy of quality food production, respect towards the agricultural community. Lecture countered the rise of fast food and fast life, the disappearance of local food traditions and people’s dwindling interest in the food they eat, where it comes from, how it tastes and how our food choices affect the rest of the world.

Energy efficiency with Ranko Bozovic- one of the world leading energy efficiency experts, member of Rem Koolhaas think tank Ranko Bozovic held a seminar on energy efficiency and its importance in sustainable development. The lecture was aimed at architecture and design students to gain better understanding of green buildings and energy efficiency in architecture.

Bane Markovic Mungos- scuba diving and ecology a world famous diver, who dived with Jacques Cousteau, and made a first yugoslav movie on sharks, talked on sea and river ecology from a diver perspective. This inspiring lecture took us to deep seas of Mexico, Australia, Egypt to Danube River.

Dragan Jacimovic- mountains and environmental protection The first Serbian to conquer Mt everest, Dragan Jacimovic promotes a true spirit of healthy sports life and respect for the mountains. His inspiring lecture talked about the Himalayas, the culture of the people who live in harmony with nature.

Respect your Mountain with Steward Shepard a member of Mountain riders association from France, shared his experience on sustainable winter sports tourism. Mountain Riders, which started out nine years ago when a group of friends cleaned up their
local ski slopes after the winter season, has since become an international player in sustainable development in mountain regions’. The Mountain Riders association seeks to inform all the various local and national stakeholders and raise their awareness on
environmental issues, so as to enable them to act together towards the common goal of asustainable and responsible development of tourism in the world’s mountains.

River restoration with Chriss Weiss from DC environmental network. Chris Weiss, who also works with Global Green USA, has given us a lecture on ways he works on river protection in Washington DC. Chris talked about Anacostia and Potomac rivers and with inspiring lecture copared it with Danube and Sava restorations.

Clean energy with Lale Jankovic & Rambo Amadeus. Lale Jankovic is one of the pioneers in green energy technology and inspiring lecturer, where Rambo Amadeus is a famous musician, a celebrity that uses his name to promote environmental values. Their lecture always generate interest.

Waste management workshops organized in partnership with Sekopak, communal waste organization and Recan, a fond for can recycling.
Supernatural has organized numerous workshops and lectures on recycling. As one of the main issues in environmental protection, waste management presents the main challenge in Serbia. Seminars and lectures were organized for kids and adults, to explain the processes and benefits of recycling. Supernatural also became a partner with public utility company to promote their activities and help spared the knowledge of recycling among citizens.
