Supernatural & telenor park
Like many other cities, Belgrade too is lacking green space. In particular it needs equipped and maintained green areas that are open to public. We have joined architectural studio 4of7 in an initiative to create a series of such spaces across the town. The first one is a small lot of land located next to the Kula Nebojsa and confluence of Danube and Sava River. The idea was to involve public and gather citizens who would bring a plant each to create a park within a day.
In partnership with Telenor, mobile operator, we have managed to create a wonderful park with over 700 plants, benches, solar lights and bird houses. The design is based on the idea that park should be created as a consequence of collective action. Thus, the employees of Telenor together with biology students and environmentalists and Supernatural movement have planted over 700 plants, to create a true green oasis on the bank of the largest European river- Danube.
The activity was coordinated with City secretariat of environmental protection, Municipality Sari Grad and City department for park management, and supported by Serbian Olympic committee, where its president Vlade Divac, planted the biggest tree.

Telenor and Supernatural have jointly celebrated Mother Earth day on supernatural festival, held in Botanical garden in Beolgrade on April 2011.
The presentation of Telenor was in line with their company values and their slogan “ Good things move the world forward”
Together with their team made a concept of a Telnor good wish well, where visitors of the festival could come, relax, and write a positive message to Mother Earth.

Green Bussines – Srbija Šume

Srbija Sume are a stated company that manages Serbian forests, and implements integrated strategy for forest management.
Supernatural and Srbija Sume have cooperated since the beginning of the launch of Supernatural festival. In 2011, Srbija Sume has promoted its forest products.
A small wooden house was built to create a forest like atmosphere where kids could learn about forest fruits and other forest products.The presentation of Srbija Sume
Also included an international year of forests.

Green Bussines – Pro Credit bank

With the support of USAID Serbia, we have created a stand made out of Biomass for Pro Credit Bank.

Biomass: After meeting and discussing clean energy issues with various experts, we have understood the current lack of knowledge and awareness on benefits of clean energy in Serbia particularly biomass. Over 30% of total energy consumption in Serbia can be provided through biomass. Estimated current production: 50,000tons Major pellet plants can produce around 250,000 t by end of 2010 (USAID source)

As an alternative fuel source with 0% co2 emission the festival promoted the idea of alternative-clean energies. The stand acted as apanel point and as a
showcase of how the biomass works and what are its benefits.

Promotion of Toyota hybrid vehicle.

Toyota and Supernatural teamed up to raise awareness on the impacts of transportation on pollution. Driving towards sustainable future, we have promoted aspects of electric cars, and created interest towards future generation, do demand clean ways of commuting. Test drive was organized for festival visitors, to feel the ride with Toyota Prius.

Somersby Garden
To promote the brand at the festival and to link it to environment we have produced a garden like atmosphere at the festival fusing chill music and relaxation in the botanical garden. The atmosphere created an experience linked with the Somersby brand.

The Coca Cola company and Coca Cola Hellenic in Serbia aim to contribute to sustainable development. Since 2002, they have worked to reduce environmental impacts and invest in communities. Working in partnerships, helping to protect local watersheds, increase recycling and promote healthy active lifestyles. With these common values Supernatural and Coca Cola are working on several projects. Long term cooperation with the company has the aim to create a green danube community; people, pleces and environment that it wants to promote, upgrade and protect.

Danube Day
The Danube Day campaign is based on the “Partnership for the Green Danube River” program, launched in 2005 by the International Commission for the Protection of the Danube River (ICPDR), Coca-Cola Hellenic and The Coca-Cola Company. This partnership between the private and public sector was initiated in order to improve the protection of the most beautiful European river

Supernatural, with partners has created a concept for the Danube day. Danube street art represents a 50 meter street drawing of Danube from its beginning in north Serbia to the end of the flow through Serbia, representing all biodiversity hot spots, highlighting flora and fauna life of Danube.

Biodiversity

For the Supernatural festival 2010, in partnership with Coca Cola, we came up with the concept to promote endangered species of Danube. In line with the company’s values, and sustainability strategy, we have designed and created several attractive costumes of endangered species, that will act as real life species and communicate with festival audience about biodiversity. Green classroom

In partnership with Coca Cola, we have launched a green classroom concept. Green classroom is a place where one can educate him/her self on environmental issues listening to top world environmentalists. The classroom has been set up at the festival featuring international experts on topics such as biodiversity, recycling, ecotourism, eco agriculture, clean energy sources and energy efficiency..

The green classroom at the Supernatural festival in 2011 presented Biagio Carrano from the Slow food movement and the topic of protecting biodiversity in the food chain, Chris Weiss from DC environmental network speaking about environmental efforts of his organization in Washington DC, Ian Illuminato from Friends of the Earth and topic on nano technology, Dragan Jacimovic the first Serbian on Mt. Everest and his views on connection to the mountains, Bratislav Markovic a scuba diver who dived with Jacque Cousteau, Stewards Shepard from Mountain raiders and project respect your mountain, Lale Jankovic and Rambo Amadeus on clean energy sources, Goran Trivam city secretary of environmental protection on forestation of Belgrade and many more.

The idea of the green classroom is to provide the audience with exciting lectures from exciting people, so the that the visitors can learn appreciate and love the environment. The green classroom is a ongoing concept of education of Supernatural.

Island of Biodiversity
At the festival in 2011, Coca Cola and Supernatural created Island of Biodiversirty promoting biodiversity of Danube through a presentation of endangered species and presentation of Djerdap National Park and WWF.

Radio

In 2010 we launched Supernatural FM radio program with the intention to link good music with Supernatural movement philosophy on the waves of B92. Every Saturday with the charming hosts Zorana Mincic and Nemanja Kostic, we talk to well-know people and activists from the world of ecology. Supernatural radio broadcasts every Saturday after morning news with up-to-date content, that cover the topics like: clean energy resources, recycling, green architecture, biodiversity, organic food and other interesting things from ecology. In spirit of authentic style of the Supernatural Festival which already links ecology and entertainment, Supernatural program bring guests, experts from the sustainable development, relevant people in environmental protection, and other interesting guests.

Art and Architecture are essences of culture. Our team of architects and artists inspired by Earth, produce various projects; design of public spaces and parks, sustainable public art installations, housing etc

Kontejner, This sustainable art piece was created for presentation of Supernatural at the Belgrade flower show. It represents a statement of what can be achieved if we solve our waste management issues.

Concept: Srdjan Stankovic Realisation: Dunja Predic

Paviljon, Supernatural Eco pavilion is a part of the architectural competition organized by Supernatural as a way to raise awareness in green architecture among students of architecture and design. The pavilion is a winning proposal by design studio Kako Ko. Made out wrinkled recycled carton. The pavilion was exhibited in city center and at the festival, and acted as a area for lectures and exhibitions

Telenor, mobile operator, have acquiring large number of plants to be planted by their employees. Totaling number of plants grew over five hundred and benches, solar lights and homes for birds were included. The design is based on the idea that park should be created as a consequence of collective action. We have provided some framework concerning the choice of plants and creation of the central green area with circulation routes, but have relied on individual preference for the position of the plants.

Supernatural promotes ecotourism, responsible travel to natural areas; tourism that conserves the environment and improves the well-being of local people

This is done through creating an international network of individuals, institutions and the tourism industry, educating tourists and tourism professionals and Influencing the tourism industry, public institutions to integrate the principles of ecotourism into their operations and policies. We promote the concept integrated communities, conservation, and sustainable travel.Our ecotourism venture means mapping, upgrading and promoting destinations primarily in Balkan region helping them market their products and services while promoting the regions. Supernatural organizes tours custom made for small groups experiencing nature through trekking, biking, bird watching, river boat trips, and through experience of authentic foods in the region.
