Supernatural festival promotes a lifestyle of love and harmony with Mother Earth.”

The idea of Supernatural festival started in 2005, at the World Expo in Japan titled “The Wisdom of Nature”. In Aichi, a small city near Nagoya, we saw the most contemporary achievements of the civilization put in the context of environment and sustainable development. We saw Maglev trains for the first time, which levitate above the railway tracks by electromagnetic fields and reach the speed more than 500 km/h, hybrid public transport new possibilities of the solar technology and innovations in the field of green architecture. Those were the things that fascinated us, inspired us, and made us think of ecology as a way of life. We were mostly impressed by the message from the Exhibition: We must get together and exchange our experience and wisdom, in order to create a new way for the humanity which is in harmony with the Nature. Thus the idea for the Festival in nature was born, which could get us together and help us exchange our own knowledge and experience, combining fun, friendship and good music.

Mother Earth day -The first Supernatural Festival was held in April, 22nd 2007, at Hajducka cesma in Kosutnjak when it gathered numerous environmental organizations and animal protection groups: City Secretariat for environmental protection, Recan – fund for recycling, Orca – the organization for protection and animal care, Nature – the Movement for Organic Serbia, Futura – the faculty for applied ecology. Over 5000 visitors: young people and parents with their kids created happy and spontaneous atmosphere which became the trademark of the Festival.
The educational part of the Festival included the visitors in workshops of numerous ecological organizations, which interactively presented the ecological problems and potential solutions. Inspired by the Indian culture of living in accordance to the Nature, we placed one wigwam at the Festival and exhibition of ecological texts dedicated to human relationship towards the nature.

The guests were taught the basic principles of recycling and regular storage for waste, and were given positive examples of people`s relationship towards animals… all of it with enjoying in good music of the bands: Obojeni Program, Shiroko, Belgrade Yard sound system, Kinetic vibe, Goran Milosevic, etc.A good respond and positive energy on the Festival, gave us strength to continue the activities of the Supernatural festival in the following years.
