Supernatural food

Supernatural food Serbia is a project of Supernatural that has the aim to identify and promote a network of communities that produce authentic Serbian products in a traditional, fair, clean and sustainable way. The goal is to promote these communities to domestic and international audience both as tourist destinations and as products they produce that have a bright future on world market of quality foods.

The first phase of the project is production of the documentary film which acts as a highly visual promotional tool for authentic Serbian food products and regions where these product are made. The film shows diverse environment of Serbia and regions where the products are grown and how each of the products is made, starting from the cultivation of the plants, trough the treatment of the ingredients to presentation of variety of dishes of traditional and authentic Serbian cuisine.

Documentary film “Soul Food” is produced in partnership with Tourist organization of Serbia and has the aim to promote traditional products and dishes at “World Travel Market” in London in November 2011. The film is accompanied by a printed publication, which tells more about each of the products, as well as offering information about the producers and recipes for the dishes.. Documentary film will act as a promotional tool of products on World Travel Market in London in November 2011, on Terra Madre, the global meeting of food communities in Sofia 2012, and Salone del Gusto in Torino in 2012.

Production of this highly visual film and publication will be an opportunity for the food communities to appropriately present them selves to the world markets.

The selection of food communities and products are done in partnership with Slow Food, a global grassroots movement that promotes biodiversity in the food chain and has over 100,000 members in 132 countries, and Seedev, a Swiss agribusiness consultancy agency active in the field of rural and local development, agriculture policy, agribusiness development

Long term of the project is giving the opportunity to producers to promote their products in a competitive manner and network between domestic and international consumers on relevant world fairs and markets.
